Like all Kyrgies, these oh-so-soft house shoes form part of a centuries-old history of craftsmanship. In this case, these slippers stem from techniques traditionally used for weaving heavy woolen rugs and are handmade by a women’s cooperative located in the remote Alay Valley of southern Kyrgyzstan. Sustainable, soft and snug on your feet, our Kyrgies Wovens are a slice of traditional Kyrgyz life, brought from the dusty plains of Central Asia directly to your door.
Softer than other slippers thanks to the flexibility of their woven woolen fabric, they’re the perfect choice if you have delicate feet that suffer from bunions or other ailments, or have wider feet and want a more accommodating fit. Naturally moisture-wicking and odor-resistant, and with a slightly higher back than our Classic Kyrgies, these house shoes are an extremely cozy addition to your home wardrobe — and perfect for embarking on the Great Indoors.

Find your feet again indoors with our Kyrgies Molded All Naturals, a house shoe designed for those wanting a firmer slipper. Handcrafted using natural wool felt, these shoes include a thick leather sole that has been specially molded to give orthopedic support to the base of your feet, as well as additional felt cushioning.
Kyrgies Slides are part of a felting tradition dating back thousands of years. Made from two pieces of felt that are cut and sewn together. Both odor resistant and moisture wicking, it’ll work a type of magic. Not only will your feet stay cozy and dry — but the wool will help you avoid any unpleasant odors, too.
All Kyrgies are chemical free and use vegetable tanned leather soles rather than the highly toxic chromium normally employed in the tanning process.
All wool is sourced from small, family-owned flocks, the factory in Kyrgyzstan pays fair wages to all its staff. Working closely with a range of nonprofits and environmental movements to ensure a net impact is positive.

Fit: The "Isla" Yellow 108 crown is 4 1/2" tall with a modest pinch front and is a favorite for just about all head shapes. Depending on your head shape, The Isla runs true to size. Like all of our styles head shape will play a role in size. We suggest if you are in between sizes with a round or egg-shaped head, size down. As always, oblong head shapes will size up! While diameter is important, head shape plays an important role in fit and choosing the right crown style for your head shape.

Fit: This reverse dome oval crown, known to us as the "Wayne" crown, is great for egg and oblong head shapes. Depending on your head shape, the Neil generally runs large for most (similar to our Wayne). This woven straw is not as firm as our hard felt styles therefore runs slightly large. We recommend to size down if you are on the lower end of a measurement. While diameter is important, head shape plays an important role in fit and choosing the right crown style for your head shape. Remember we are all humans and head size or shape is not relative to gender or body size much to everyone's surprise!
