All Kyrgies are chemical free and use vegetable tanned leather soles rather than the highly toxic chromium normally employed in the tanning process.
All wool is sourced from small, family-owned flocks, the factory in Kyrgyzstan pays fair wages to all its staff. Working closely with a range of nonprofits and environmental movements to ensure a net impact is positive.

Originally published in the 1884 edition of the "The Fisheries and Fishery Industries of the United States", this reproduction print of the Arctic Whale, or Bowhead, and the Right Whale of the Pacific was drawn by H.L. Todd. It was part of the first book in a multi-volume series produced by George Brown Goode, the famed ichthyologist (fish scientist), Smithsonian museum administrator, and U.S. Fish Commissioner. He managed a large staff of scientists, researchers, and clerical employees to produce this monumental work on American Fisheries. We are happy to make available the amazingly detailed drawings included in the first volume of the series as reproduction prints.
